Doss Launches Wireless Speaker System with CD Player for Under $129

December 2004 -- Doss launches the DS-220, a CD player with two wireless speakers, for under $129. The wireless system uses Bluetooth technology to transmit audio output to the speakers, making it easy to move and use the DS-220 in any location.

China-based Doss designs and manufactures speakers, speaker systems and home-theater-in-a-box systems for sale under it's own brand name, and custom builds products within very short R&D cycles for it's many OEM customers around the world. The company operates in the United States as Aspire Digital.

The DS-220 CD player, which is powered by one 20W amplifier, provides clear, crisp playback from media recorded in CD, CD-R, and MP3 formats. An AM/FM tuner is built into the DS-220 CD player, as well.

The two Bluetooth 2.4G wireless speakers include 1 x 2" tweeters with a handling power of 10W each (impedance: 8 ohms, speaker frequency response: 200 Hz - 20 kHz), plus bass drivers capable of handling 30W each (impedance 8 ohms, speaker frequency response: 38 Hz - 300 Hz).

At an MSRP of $129, the DS-220 provides the double value of clean, crisp playback from CDs through wireless speakers that can be moved and used anywhere at anytime. The DS-220 will be available in December 2004.
