Best Home Theater Products: Faroudja DVP-3000 and DVP 5000
Faroudja has been the "gold standard" for professional television engineers for years. This company has contributed to many advances in television engineering and owns scores of patents in television technology. The "trickle-down" effect to the consumer truly applies here. Simply put, the Faroudja DVP-3000 takes an ordinary television picture apart and literally puts it back together again, the end result being a vastly clearer and better picture. This is called video processing, and boy does it work. You won't need a DVP-3000 on a no name Wal-Mart bought 27 incher, this sort of processing is really only visible on big (i.e. 60" and larger) screens. The main use for Faroudja products (aside from studio work) is in home theater. When you buy a projector, you'll need a good signal to feed it. Remember the old adage "garbage in, garbage out"?
