2006 Dodge Charger to Feature Boston Acoustics Legendary Sound

June 7, 2005—Boston Acoustics just announced that it will provide audiophile speaker systems featuring The Boston Sound for the new 2006 Dodge Charger.

In partnership with Visteon Corporation , the audio system blends Boston Acoustics' legendary speaker design and acoustic expertise with Visteon’s Digital Signal Processing (DSP) amplifier. Together they deliver the clean, clear sound and smooth octave-to-octave tonal balance known as The Boston Sound.

The 2006 Dodge Charger will feature Boston Acoustics systems as standard equipment or as a factory-installed upgrade option. System configurations consist of either a 6-speaker system powered by a 276-watt DSP amplifier or a 7-speaker system that adds a subwoofer and increases the total system power to 322-watts.

“Dodge customers have been eagerly awaiting the Charger,” said Michael Chass, vice president, OEM, for Boston Acoustics. “Boston Acoustics is excited to provide the audiophile sound system for this vehicle.”

Boston engineers combined their success in developing unsurpassed high performance home speaker systems with today's state-of-the-art digital electronics to turn an automobile passenger compartment into a virtual home listening environment. The result - customers experience audio that is true-to-the-original performance.

“We are pleased to launch our fourth vehicle with Chrysler Group,” said Moses Gabbay, President and CEO, Boston Acoustics. “The Charger represents the second Dodge vehicle in which customers will able to experience The Boston Sound.”

The 2006 Dodge Charger represents another vehicle featuring a Boston Acoustics branded audio system generated from the first Boston Acoustics/Visteon business award with Chrysler Group announced in 2002. In February 2004, Boston Acoustics announced an expansion of its relationship through a second business award with Visteon Corporation and Chrysler Group for branded audio in future models, to be announced at a later date.
