align="left">Apple’s taking a much more low-key approach to 2003, choosing to
overhaul its flagship laptop in lieu of launching a bold new product
with a huge media blitz like they did in years past with the iMac and
the iPod. The news from Apple this year is the company’s new 17-inch
Powerbook laptop. That’s right — a laptop with a 17-inch LCD screen,
the largest of any laptop to date and bigger than most of the separate
flat-panel monitors currently on desktops. The 17-inch PowerBook G4 will be available in February 2003 for $3299.
