Acer's New Veriton All-in-One Desktop PC

Acer just announced the new Acer Veriton Z280G-EA271CP all-in-one PC. Designed for the commercial market, or any office/home office that is short on space, the new energy-efficient PC starts in price at only $499.

This new AIO PC features an 18.5-inch widescreen LCD monitor and measures just 19-inches (W) by 15-inches (H) by 2.14-inches (D). With an Intel Atom ultra-low-voltage processor and fan-less operation, the Veriton Z280G is cool, quiet and Energy Star qualified.

Other features include a Multi-in-1 Digital Media Card Reader, 160GB hard drive, 2 GB Memory, Built-in 802.11b/g wireless, and it runs on Windows XP. The Super Multi Double-Layer drive is located on the side of the display for easy access. The system also comes with integrated speakers and a matching keyboard and mouse. Read more

AT&T Plans to Offer a New Suite of Mobile Broadband Netbooks Nationwide

AT&T has announced an expansion of its mobile broadband-enabled netbook lineup. The new devices, which will be available in stores and online in the coming days, features three ultra portable mobile broadband netbooks - the Acer Aspire One, the Dell Inspiron Mini 10, and the Lenovo S10.

AT&T will offer the Acer Aspire One throughout stores nationwide. The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 and Lenovo S10 will be available in multiple stores and all devices will be available for purchase soon online at www.att.com and other direct sales channels. The netbooks will cost $199.99 after mail-in rebate via AT&T Promotion Card with a two-year service contract.

All three of these netbooks are excellent! They will all feature 10-inch screens, house 1GB of RAM, feature a built-in webcam, weigh less than 3lbs, use Microsoft Windows XP Home and feature a 160GB HDD.Read more

Acer Intros New Display, Updates Desktops

Acer just announced a new display, the H235H, and a brand new design for its Acer Aspire M5, M3 and X3 Series desktops.

The new Acer H235H 23-inch widescreen LCD has a 16:9 aspect ratio for HD support, 1920x1080 resolution, fast 2ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 100,000:1 contrast ratio. The display also features SensorTouch technology where the LED illuminated controls replace the buttons that are standard on displays.

The H235H supports VGA and HDMI as well as DVI with HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) for viewing digital movies, digital photos, PC files and copy protected content. It also offers 160-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles.

The Acer H235H comes with two speakers and will be available in July for $239.99.Read more

Acer Announces its Own Android netbook

With the introduction of Android into Acer netbooks, customers will have yet another choice of operating systems to meet their mobile needs. The Android operating system will provide Acer netbook users with a faster connection to the Internet, further enhancing efficiency on-the-go.

Android is a free, open source, and fully customizable mobile platform, including an operating system, middleware, and key mobile applications. Third-party developers can customize and integrate Android applications, bringing true add-on value to benefit the customer.

I think Acer will do an excellent job in implementing Android into its netbooks and I can't wait to test one out! Expect to see Acer's first Aspire One netbook featuring Android during the Q3 of 2009.

Acer Aspire Timeline Available Now, Starting at $598

The Acer Aspire Timeline series features three different sized versions. All three versions are equipped with a 16:9 (1366 x 768 resolution) LED-backlit display, an Intel 4500MHD graphics card and a battery that is said to last over 8 hours.

The 15.6-inch version features a 1.3GHz Pentium SU2700 processor for $598, while the 14-inch version comes equipped with a 1.4GHz SU3500 Core Solo unit at $699 and finally, the 13.3-inch edition, houses a 1.4GHz SU9400 Core 2 Duo and is priced at $899.
